The Fort Wayne TinCaps picked up a win at Parkview Field, taking down the Dayton Dragons, 3-2. Starting pitcher Michael Bailey was a big reason why. The winning pitcher was Bailey, now 3-3. He tossed 7 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 5. Fort Wayne now has a record of 25-24 with the win.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the seventh, with the game tied, Michael Guldberg was at the plate when Fort Wayne scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the TinCaps to go in front, 3-2.

"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Fort Wayne skipper Landon Powell.
