Brewers Deal Pirates 6-3 Loss
|
The Milwaukee Brewers topped the Pittsburgh Pirates by the score of 6-3, with the largest share of the credit going to third baseman Xavier Noonan. Noonan was 2-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Brewers. Asa Lacy, 3-1, earned the win in relief. He allowed 2 runs on 2 hits in 1.1 innings. Milwaukee goes to 14-10.
Noonan had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 2-1 changeup from Zach Linginfelter, he banged a 2-run home run to right-center, giving the Brewers a 5-3 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Noonan.
Noonan attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
