A 3-RBI performance from designated hitter Roc Riggio, who is tied for 2nd in the MID in triples with 5, led the Great Lakes Loons to a win over the South Bend Cubs, 8-5. Great Lakes reliever Brendan Ellison picked up the win, upping his record to 4-6. Kevin Guzik shouldered the loss. With the victory, the Loons record now stands at 51-32.

Riggio had a game-changing double in the top of the tenth. On a 2-1 cutter from Kevin Guzik, he banged a run-scoring double to center, giving the Loons a 6-5 lead. It was the 16th double of the year for Riggio.

"I felt good up there," said Riggio. "I saw the ball well."
