The Burlington Bees defeated the Fort Wayne TinCaps, 7-2, in Midwest League action at Parkview Field. Burlington pitcher Ryan Dauster had a standout performance. The winning pitcher was Dauster, now 7-4. He tossed 6 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 3. Burlington goes to 49-35, Fort Wayne to 49-36.
Sterlin Thompson, the 22-year old right fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Thompson contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the sixth inning to put Burlington up, 3-1.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Thompson.
