The Burlington Bees beat the Beloit Snappers, 6-5, in part because of right fielder Ethan Wilson. He went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Brayan Medina converted his 23rd save in 24 tries. With the win, Burlington upped its record to 50-37.

Burlington used the timely hitting of Sterlin Thompson to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Bees on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Thompson.
