Hot Rods Take Tight Tilt, 3-2

Behind an impressive start by Andrew Taylor, Bowling Green beat South Bend, 3-2. Taylor picked up the win for Bowling Green, going 5.2 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 7-3. Picking up the save was Holt Jones. He's now 17 for 21 in save chances.
Michael Terry had a big 2-run double for the Hot Rods in the bottom of the second inning. With Bowling Green leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a slider from Kade Wells and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 17th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Hot Rods ahead, 3-0.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Taylor said.
The win lifted the Bowling Green record to 46-44.
