West Michigan Topples Dayton, 3-1

West Michigan used a superb performance from starting pitcher Mike Craig to down the Dayton Dragons, 3-1. Craig got the win, improving to 4-7. He allowed 3 hits and walked 3 over 5 innings. Craig allowed 1 run. Mark Johnson, credited with the save, is now 9 for 10 in save opportunities.
It could have been a different outcome for West Michigan, had it not been for Sawyer Robertson, the former first overall pick . Robertson contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the second inning to put West Michigan up, 2-1.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Robertson said after the game.
At 44-49, the Whitecaps find themselves in 7th place in the East.
