Kane County Rallies Past Clinton, 7-3
|
Kane County picked up a win at Ashford University Field, toppling the Clinton LumberKings, 7-3. Pitcher Nate Savino was one of the reasons the Cougars triumphed. The Cougars, at 61-44, have now won 4 straight.
Kane County used a timely hit from Conner Wade to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Cougars ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.
"Nate was able to execute his pitches," said Kane County manager A.J. Hinch. "Simple as that."
