Lowe Gets 2-Game Suspension
Sunday, December 15th, 2019
There was a hostile encounter between Joshua Lowe and the men in blue in yesterday's WDL-WDL game. The AL West center fielder was tossed for arguing a called third strike. Actually he did a little more than just complain about the call -- he got in the umpire's face and had to be restrained by his manager.
"I don't think I did anything to deserve to be thrown out of the game in the first place, never mind be suspended," Lowe stated. "That's unbelievable. I still don't know why he threw me out of the game. I didn't charge over there until after he gave me the heave-ho."
The league office did not agree with his assessment of the confrontation and suspended Lowe for 2 games.
