Cubs, Guardians Make Deal Thursday, November 25th , 2021 There were plenty of hugs and handshakes all around as 27-year old RHP Enrique Díaz, 26-year old minor league RHP Craig Parker, 26-year old minor league LF Jeff Rhodes, 20-year old minor league SS Joaquín Moreno, and $575,000 in cash left the Chicago Cubs today en route to joining the Cleveland Guardians organization. 35-year old 3B Pablo Sandoval will be traveling to Chicago Cubs to complete the swap. Cleveland will retain a portion of Sandoval's remaining contract. Sandoval has put up a career batting average of .295 with 1461 hits, 170 homers and 690 RBIs. |
