Correa Is King of Swing: Goes Deep 3 Times Sunday, April 17th , 2022 It was a good day for the Colorado Rockies and an exceptional one for Carlos Correa. The 27-year-old shortstop sent three bombs out of the park to help the Rockies beat the Chicago Cubs 18-1 at Coors Field. "When you're in the zone, the game really slows down," Correa said when asked about his performance later. "I couldn't even tell you what pitches were thrown. Today feels great, but it is a long season and tomorrow is another day." For the day, he scored 4 times, drove in 9 runs and smacked 3 hits in 4 at-bats. Carlos Correa grounded out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Ryan Copeland in the 3rd, walked in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Mark Sorensen in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Anthony Klumpp in the 6th and hit a sac fly in the 8th. This season Correa has hit at a .203 clip with 11 RBIs, 4 home runs and 10 runs scored. |
