Hunter Has Hot Hand, Bangs 5 hits Friday, June 24th , 2022 Today at Progressive Field, the Boston Red Sox fell to the Cleveland Guardians despite a splendid performance by center fielder Kevin Hunter. Hunter had an exceptional day at the plate, tagging Guardians pitching for 5 base hits, but it was not enough for Boston to come away with the win. Cleveland whipped Boston by a score of 9-8. Kevin Hunter struck out in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, doubled in the 8th, doubled in the 9th, struck out in the 11th, flied out in the 14th and singled in the 16th.
