Chicago, Washington Make Trade Saturday, July 2nd , 2022 Chicago and Washington have agreed in principle to a trade. The White Sox will send 32-year old RHP Brett Marshall, 19-year old minor league SS César Otero, 17-year old minor league 3B Diego Castillo, and 17-year old minor league RHP Verdiano Duccio to the Nationals for 25-year old minor league LHP B.J. Sharp, 19-year old minor league LHP Josh Hartle, and 19-year old minor league LHP Pedro Borbon III. The deal is expected to be finalized shortly and the clubs will be introducing their new players to the press when the paperwork is complete. To date this year Marshall has fashioned a 3.00 ERA over 57 innings with a 2-5 record. He has made 20 relief appearances with 45 strikeouts and no saves. |
