Chicago, Toronto Swap Players Sunday, July 3rd , 2022 37-year old RHP Vinnie Pestano and $2,500,000 in cash will now be playing for the Toronto Blue Jays and 22-year old minor league LHP Christian MacLeod, 22-year old minor league LHP Doug Nikhazy, 21-year old minor league LF Stephen Paolini, 18-year old minor league C Ricardo Perez, and 21-year old minor league LHP Levi Lewis will be suiting up for the Chicago White Sox. The trade was announced today at a press conference by club officials. Chicago will retain a portion of Pestano's remaining contract. For the year Pestano has saved 2 games while posting an ERA of 3.68 and 47 strikeouts in 36.2 innings. His totals also include a 0-2 record in 24 relief appearances. |
