Guardians Deal Strasburg to Athletics for Alvarez Saturday, July 30th , 2022 Cleveland and Oakland have agreed in principle to a trade. The Guardians will send 34-year old RHP Stephen Strasburg to the Athletics for 20-year old minor league 3B Thomas Fidone, 23-year old minor league CF Nathan Mallandain, 21-year old minor league RF Joshua Mears, and 26-year old minor league RHP Yadier Alvarez. The deal is expected to be finalized shortly and the clubs will be introducing their new players to the press when the paperwork is complete. In 16 starts this year Strasburg has crafted a 5-9 record and a 3.63 ERA. |
