Reds Come up Short of Playoffs Monday, October 3rd , 2022 Cincinnati Reds reliever Michael Flowers said his team's effort to get into the playoffs fell "heartbreakingly short." But that's the situation they are faced with, as the club was mathematically eliminated from postseason contention today. Cincinnati last appeared in the postseason in 2017. This is their 5th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 9 times in their 11 - year history. |
