Cardinals on to League Championship Series Friday, October 14th , 2022 The Divisional Series didn't live up to the billing from those who thought it would be an all-out battle to the last game. But the St. Louis Cardinals are no doubt pleased by the results, as they have knocked out the Philadelphia Phillies 3-1 to advance to the League Championship Series. "It doesn't matter how you win it, as long as you win it and get yourself moving forward," said Cardinals second baseman Dion Hightower. "I know a lot of people thought this was going to be a really tight series the whole way through, but we're glad it didn't go right down to the wire." St. Louis won the final game by a score of 9-3 at Citizens Bank Park. Hightower was named series MVP after hitting .385 with a .429 on-base percentage. He also had 1 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 4 runs. The St. Louis Cardinals will play against the Arizona Diamondbacks in the next round.
