Ayala Booms 3 out of the Park Monday, April 5th, 2021 Today was a special one for Jorge Ayala of the Cleveland Indians as he slammed three home runs in the 10-4 win over the Kansas City Royals. "Lately, I've been uppercutting the ball too much," he said to sportswriters after the game. "I would hit it hard, but they just went sky high and stayed in the ballpark. No big long outs for me in this game. I leveled out my swing and connected on the sweet spot. I knew they were gone the minute I hit 'em." The Cleveland left fielder collected 3 hits in 4 at-bats, drove in 5, and scored 3 runs in the contest at Progressive Field. Jorge Ayala hit a solo-shot off Casey Mize in the 2nd, struck out in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Casey Mize in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Gregory Infante in the 7th and walked in the 8th. |
