Boston Trades English for Chicago's Hunter Thursday, May 6th, 2021 25-year-old minor league RHP Sidney English will now be playing for the Chicago Cubs and 29-year-old CF Arturo Gómez, 24-year-old CF Kevin Hunter and 23-year-old minor league 3B Kenny Gentry will be suiting up for the Boston Red Sox. The trade was announced today at a press conference by club officials. English has made 5 starts so far this year and put up a 1-1 won-lost record with a 6.91 ERA. In 27.1 innings he has allowed 36 hits, walked 8 and struck out 37. Hitting .172 to date, Hunter has no home runs and 4 RBIs. He has played in 25 games. |
