Chicago-Boston Trade: Sale for Butler Wednesday, June 16th, 2021 The Chicago White Sox have made a deal sending 32-year-old LHP Chris Sale and $5,000,000 in cash to the Boston Red Sox for 21-year-old minor league LF Spencer Torkelson and 25-year-old minor league RHP John Butler. Both sides are said to be pleased with the way the trade worked out. So far this season, Sale has logged a 3-5 record with a 6.26 ERA. He has started 13 games, hurled 64.2 innings and registered 63 strikeouts and 16 walks. |
