Friday, June 18th, 2021
The number just keeps getting higher.

Colorado center fielder Hideaki Abe has now extended his hitting string to 32 games. He did it today with 2 hits in 5 at-bats as the Colorado took the 6-2 win over the Milwaukee Brewers at Coors Field.

"Who knows how long it will go on?" Milwaukee manager Jim Thome said. "He's certainly tough to pitch to right now."
Hideaki Abe hit a solo-shot off Pedro Cuevas in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, struck out in the 7th and flied out in the 8th.

Abe has a .351 average and a .408 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 95 hits, 11 home runs and driven in 41 runs.
