Abe Runs Hit String to 33 Straight Games Saturday, June 19th, 2021 Hideaki Abe's hitting streak is becoming the talk of Colorado. The 24-year-old center fielder extended it once again today, this time bringing it to 33 games with a 2-for-5 performance against the Milwaukee Brewers. The Rockies took the game, 10-0. "People are starting to bring it up to me when I'm around town," he said. "It's getting stressful." Hideaki Abe singled in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and flied out in the 8th. To date this season Abe is hitting .351 with 11 home runs. |
