Hot Bat Cooled, López Hitless Against Cardinals Sunday, August 15th, 2021 Gustavo López had his hitting streak snapped at 25 games today during a 4-3 Kansas City win over the St. Louis Cardinals at Kauffman Stadium. The 24-year-old shortstop was hitless in 3 at-bats. "Had to end sometime," López said, shrugging. This season López has banged out 158 hits in 458 at-bats for a .345 average with 11 home runs. He is getting on base at a .368 pace and his totals also include 63 RBIs and 61 runs scored. |
