Lincecum Zeroes in On Los Angeles Friday, August 20th, 2021 The New York Mets did little to support starter Tim Lincecum against the Los Angeles Dodgers, but it turned out he didn't need the help. The right-hander spun a complete game shutout against the Dodgers, striking out 11 and surrendering 3 hits. The performance from Lincecum allowed New York to escape with the 3-0 win despite an anemic offense. "Nobody came to me and said 'Tim, we're gonna need you to win this one for us today,' but I could feel it," Lincecum told BNN reporters following the win. "I'm the guy that will step up for you when you need it." Lincecum has made 24 starts, tossed 136.2 innings, struck out 161 batters and walked 48.
