Walden Slams Door on Los Angeles, Notches 300th Save Wednesday, September 22nd, 2021 Rockies closer Jordan Walden has faced many pressure situations, but rarely does the pressure affect him. Today was no different in a 3-0 Colorado victory as the 33-year-old pitcher registered a historic milestone -- the 300th save of his career. "We feel that a lead is in good hands whenever Jordan gets the ball," one of his teammates said after the game. Walden reached the 300-save plateau by holding the Los Angeles Dodgers to no runs and no hits in 1 innings of work. Walden has made 574 relief appearances and has 300 career saves.
