The Math Says - Dodgers Out of Playoffs Saturday, September 25th, 2021 A late-season playoff push is not in the cards for the Los Angeles Dodgers. The club today was mathematically knocked out of playoff contention. "There are a lot of long faces around right now," said Dodgers manager Derek Jeter. "You know in your head that every year, most teams in baseball have to go through this, but it still hurts when you realize you've lost your shot at a title." This is the 2nd time in a row that the Dodgers have missed the playoffs.Their last payoff appearance was in 2019. |
