The Knights tried, but could not solve Norfolk's Cole Thompson, falling to the Tides 3-0. Charlotte managed only 4 hits off Thompson, who kept opposing hitters guessing all day. In a strong route-going performance he had 9 strikeouts and walked 4.

Harris Holds Mud Hens Scoreless

The bats were ice cold today for the Toledo Mud Hens at Victory Field. Indianapolis Indians starter Hogan Harris kept the Mud Hens cold all day, shutting them out in a 7-0 victory. In a fine outing, the 27-year-old hurler allowed 6 hits while striking out 6 and walking 1.
"I'm not quite sure what was different today," Harris admitted later. "I didn't feel like I was doing anything differently, but the results speak for themselves."
