Torretta Hurls Red Sox to Shutout Win
Sunday, April 12th, 2020
"Good pitching beats good hitting" is an old baseball adage.

Well, good pitching also beats bad hitting.

Michael Torretta of the Pawtucket Red Sox proved the point at Victory Field today, holding the Indianapolis Indians to 4 hits in a complete game shutout victory.

"Torretta made us look real bad today," Indians manager John Wasdin said in his postgame interview. "He was outstanding. He was down in the zone with all his pitches. Everything was sinking."

Torretta had 1 strikeout and gave up 1 walk as the Red Sox took the 8-0 win.
