Soleimani Gets 5 Hits Monday, April 11th , 2022 After a 5-hit effort to lead Louisville's 17-1 victory over the Pawtucket Red Sox, right fielder Brandon Soleimani told BNN beat writers it had been "a special day." "It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college, two hits in a game is nice," he said. "Three or four is better, but five or more is out of sight. And to do that at the International League-level is really something special." The 24-year-old player earned his accolades today at Louisville Slugger Stadium with a spectacular 5-for-6 game against the Red Sox. "His swing is getting there," said Bats skipper Doug Dascenzo, who spoke glowingly of Soleimani after the game. "We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Brandon did that to perfection today." Brandon Soleimani hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, tripled in the 4th, doubled in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th and hit a two-run double in the 8th. View Boxscore |
