Roller Runs Hit String to 20 Straight Games

Columbus lost to the Syracuse Chiefs 6-2 at Huntington Park today, but Kyle Roller kept his consecutive-game hitting streak alive with 1 hit. The Clippers first baseman has now delivered hits in 20 straight games.

"Kyle has a nice streak going, but the scoreboard tells the important story today," Columbus manager Wally Backman told reporters after the game. "We lost, no matter how many hits anyone had."
Kyle Roller hit an RBI single in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, flied out in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th.

To date, Roller has collected 30 hits for a .380 average. He has posted 1 home run, scored 9 runs and driven in 10 runs.
