IL Pitcher of the Month Goes to Morton Wednesday, July 1st, 2020 "The kid had it all working last month," a veteran teammate told reporters. "He keeps up those kind of numbers, we might have to start inviting him out with us after the games." Franklin Morton put together a very solid month to take home the International League's top pitching honor in June. The 22-year-old reliever threw like a veteran. In 13 relief appearances he raked in 9 saves and 12 strikeouts in 13.2 innings as he put together his 2-0 record and 1.98 ERA. For the year Morton has made 28 relief appearances with 14 saves. He has also fashioned a 6-2 won-lost mark with a 3.10 ERA. In 29 innings he has fanned 24. |
