May's #1 Batter Announced Tuesday, June 1st, 2021 Leonard Payne put together a good May to earn the International League Batter of the Month prize. A virtual unknown, he made the most of his chance to prove to Charlotte officials that he belongs on the big league roster. The Knights first baseman posted a .362 batting average with 5 home runs, 20 RBIs and 20 runs scored. So far this season Payne is batting .345 with 6 home runs. |
