Setback For Tides and Allen Jacobs Thursday, July 15th, 2021 Allen Jacobs was taking it slow and easy nursing a hamstring strain back to good health, when he suffered a setback. According to a Norfolk team official, "Allen was making excellent progress and it appeared he would return to the squad ahead of schedule. But then he reinjured it in a light workout." Club doctors now say the 30-year-old Tides first baseman will be out at least another one week. In his 2021 season totals, Jacobs has 11 home runs, .270 BA, .357 OBP, 39 RBIs and 37 runs scored. |
