Hits Galore: Flora Drills 5 Hits Friday, August 27th, 2021 Getting 5 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the Durham's 6-1 win over Charlotte today, first baseman Max Flora was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. "To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Flora said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close." Max Flora singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th. This season Flora is hitting .292 with 89 hits, 10 home runs, 46 RBIs, scored 24 runs and played in 77 games. View Boxscore |
