West Champs Crowned: Indianapolis Indians Sunday, August 29th, 2021 There's still a ways to go before the International League regular season wraps up, but there won't be any drama in the West. The Indianapolis Indians have easily clinched the division crown, their 3rd as a franchise. "We did what we set out to do, you can't ask for any more than that," said third baseman Rosell Herrera. Team manager John Wasdin said it's "been a pleasure" to lead his club thus far this year and he's looking forward to the postseason, where Indianapolis will be looking for its 2nd International League championship. |
