Sheffield Collects AC Pitching Award Friday, July 1st , 2022 Jordan Sheffield of Nashville had an award-winning June as he took home the American Conference Pitcher of the Month award. "He told me once people used to make fun of the way he pitches," Sheffield's pitching coach told reporters. "There wasn't anybody laughing in June except for Jordan." Sheffield was all business when he took the mound though, collecting a 4-0 record in 5 starts. He struck out 17 batters in 28.2 innings and kept opponents to a .252 batting average. So far this season Sheffield has a 9-2 record, 15 starts, 89.2 innings, 76 strikeouts and a 3.61 ERA. |
