Velázquez rapped out 5 hits in 5 at-bats and seemed to know which pitches Redbirds hurlers were throwing. "I think the Aces were stealing signs," growled one unhappy Memphis fan after the game. "I just felt good today. I saw the ball well and just wanted to make good contact and put the ball in play," said the jubilant Velázquez in the postgame press interview. Arturo Velázquez singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Don Picone in the 10th.
