No pitcher in the American Conference threw better in August, garnering him the Pitcher of the Month award today. In 5 starts Hill compiled a 0.27 ERA, putting up a 5-0 record, striking out 24 and tossing 33.2 innings. Hill has made 24 starts, tossed 133.2 innings, struck out 81 batters and walked 48. His record is 14-6 with a 3.23 ERA and he has limited other teams to a .254 batting average. |
