Rainiers End Hill's Streak Thursday, August 11th , 2022 The Iowa Cubs lost to the Tacoma Rainiers 6-5 today at Principal Park, but perhaps the bigger news was the end of Tyler Hill's 26-game hitting streak. The left fielder went 0-for-4 on the day. "We felt if we could slow down Hill, we would win the game," Rainiers manager Blake Davis explained. "They really seemed to feed off his streak, so we tried to put more emphasis on shutting him down." Currently Hill has 10 home runs and a .383 batting average. |
