West Garners EL #1 Pitcher Award

Ethan West of the Harrisburg Senators is in the spotlight today. The relief ace was voted the top pitcher in the Eastern League for May.
He compiled a 2-0 record and an ERA of 0.00 in 16.1 innings with 10 strikeouts. West nailed down 11 saves in 11 save opportunities.
So far this year West has delivered 19 saves. In 23 relief appearances he has 19 strikeouts in 26.2 innings with a 0.34 ERA and a 3-1 won-lost mark.

Richmond's Lunn Snaps Up May Batting Award

George Lunn of the Richmond Flying Squirrels swung a mean bat for the last few weeks and was acclaimed the Eastern League Batter of the Month for May.
The 26-year-old first baseman slapped out a .321 batting average, 9 home runs, 23 RBIs, 25 runs scored and a .377 on-base percentage.
Currently Lunn has 11 home runs and a .324 batting average.

Fink Has Season End
Tuesday, May 30th , 2023
Matt Fink has to call it a season. The Binghamton Rumble Ponies starting pitcher learned today that the full extent his injury suffered on 05/27/2023 is worse than hoped. He will not play again this year according to club doctors, who diagnosed the injury as a torn ulnar collateral ligament and stated that he would not be able to play for 13 months. The team will likely place Fink on the injured list today.
