Red-Hot Bat: Abril Collects Cycle Tuesday, August 16th , 2022 Rodrigo Abril roughed up Akron RubberDucks pitching in a big way at Canal Park today, leading the Altoona to a 10-5 win. With his parents and family watching from the stands, the 24-year-old center fielder put on a magnificent show, hitting for the cycle -- collecting a single, double, triple and home run in the same game. "It was a good day for that to happen," a beaming Abril said after the game. "I really got some good looks and delivered. Sometimes you're just on." He finished his historic day with 4 hits in 4 at-bats, 5 runs batted in and 2 runs scored. Rodrigo Abril hit a three-run home run off Robin Addison in the 1st, hit an RBI triple in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and walked in the 9th.
