Southern League Announces #1 Player Monday, July 18th , 2022 22-year-old Heliot Ramos made a few Birmingham headlines during this past week as the rookie right fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Southern League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 7 hits in 19 at-bats to put up a .368 average. Ramos collected 4 home runs, 11 RBIs and scored 4 runs. This season Ramos has banged out 13 hits in 39 at-bats for a .333 average with 5 home runs. He is getting on base at a .395 pace and his totals also include 14 RBIs and 7 runs scored. |
