Braves End Arthur's Streak Thursday, August 20th, 2020 It was a doubly miserable day today for Greg Arthur of the Tennessee Smokies, as he saw his 20-game hitting streak end and his team lose 7-3 to the Mississippi Braves at Trustmark Park. The 24-year-old left fielder was held hitless in 4 at-bats by the Braves. "Anyone on a 20-game hitting streak is going to be a tough out," Mississippi manager Chad Epperson said later. "But we had a plan and we were careful about it, and got it done." So far this season Arthur has gotten 75 hits in 209 at-bats for a .359 batting average with 10 home runs. His stats include 41 RBIs and 32 runs scored. He has played in 49 games. |
