Mobile's Adams Gets Pitcher of the Year Award

Mobile ace Matt Adams put up some sensational stats for the 2020 season and has been voted the Southern League Pitcher of the Year Award winner.

The 27-year-old BayBears star made 27 starts and racked up a 12-3 record. He pitched 162.2 innings, collected 130 strikeouts, gave up 38 walks and 142 hits in holding the opposition to a .238 batting average.

He received 5 first place votes out of a possible 10. Bryse Wilson of the Montgomery Biscuits finished second in voting with 5 first place votes, while Cole Winn of the Chattanooga Lookouts finished third.
