Biscuits Cruise to Championship with Sweep Wednesday, September 14th , 2022 After their 5-4 win today over the Jackson Generals, the Montgomery Biscuits will advance to the Championship. Despite coming out on the losing side, the series MVP award went to Jackson first baseman Esteban Ortíz. Ortíz told a reporter from the Jackson Observer that he was disappointed in the loss, and hopes to be back next year competing for the Championship Montgomery won the series 3-0. The Montgomery Biscuits will play against the Pensacola Blue Wahoos in the next round. Pensacola won their series against the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp 3 games to 0.
