Saturday, June 26th, 2021
Some moments become linked with a particular player's career forever. Marty Baldwin of the Tennessee Smokies had one of those moments when he went 5-for-6 at the plate today in the 20-6 win over the Jackson Generals at The Ballpark at Jackson.

"I won't forget this anytime soon, and I don't expect it to happen too often," the 24-year-old first baseman told reporters in the postgame interview. "I'll be happy to just get a hit or two every day. Enough to hang around the league a while longer. Like 10, maybe 15 more years."

Marty Baldwin hit a three-run home run off José García in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit a two-run single in the 3rd, walked in the 4th, struck out in the 5th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 9th.

Baldwin is batting .319 this season in 16 games with 2 home runs, 15 RBIs and 8 runs scored. He has 22 hits in 69 at-bats.
