Texas League #1 Pitcher Named Friday, October 6th , 2023 It was a glorious year for Jack Miller of the Frisco RoughRiders. He finished the season with 12 victories and only 6 losses, with an impressive 2.97 ERA. The talented RoughRiders pitcher started 28 games and struck out 152 batters in 160.2 innings and won the Texas League Pitcher of the Year Award. "It means a lot," Miller said. "I hadn't really had a chance to sit down and think about it yet. It feels good right now. I can't really put it into words, but I'm sure later on tonight when I have a chance to sit down with my family and think about it, I'll have some words for it. But right now, I'm just happy that it happened this year." He received 8 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. J.D. Shockley of the Frisco RoughRiders finished second in voting, while Daniel Lynch of the Corpus Christi Hooks finished third.
