Barrage of Hits Gets McCormick TEX Award Monday, July 3rd , 2023 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Texas League, but last week Matt McCormick of the Northwest Arkansas Naturals reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. McCormick rocked opposing pitching for a .474 average (9-for-19), 1 home run and 3 RBIs to come away with the award. McCormick is currently hitting at a .270 pace with 6 home runs, 16 RBIs and has scored 17 times. |
