The future looks extremely bright for Logan Tanner. At the age of 22, many players are still trying to find their way in Texas League.

Tanner has not only found his way, he's already established himself as one of the game's brightest stars, today being named the winner of the Texas League Hitter of the Year Award.

"I didn't expect to hit .325 this year, that's for sure," the center fielder said.

The Springfield Cardinals star also put up a .373 on-base percentage this year, with 133 hits, 31 doubles, 5 triples, 12 home runs, 65 RBIs and 77 runs scored.

He received 8 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Dave Jackson of the Corpus Christi Hooks finished second in voting, while Andy Kennedy of the Frisco RoughRiders finished third.
