Carlson Grabs CAL Reliever of the Year Award Monday, October 2nd , 2023 He may only be 21, but Haden Carlson of the Inland Empire 66ers has already established himself as one of the elite relievers in the California League. The reliever was today named the CAL Reliever of the Year Award winner for 2023. He won the award with a strong year that saw him put up 31 saves in 54 relief appearances and 110 strikeouts in 64.2 innings. He had a record of 6-6 to go with his 2.23 ERA. He received 8 first place votes out of a possible 10. Travis Wilson of the Stockton Ports finished second in voting with 2 first place votes, while J.D. Johnson of the Visalia Rawhide finished third.
